The paper presents a systematic literature review on misogyny, conducted from 1990 to 2022, using a computational linguistic approach. The review analyzes 2830 articles from the Scopus database, employing bibliometric analysis, topic detection, and qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that the analysis of online misogyny has driven the exponential growth in publications. The literature reveals a limited connection between different knowledge areas necessary to fully understand this complex phenomenon. The study highlights the increasing interest in studying online misogyny and the techniques for automatic detection and identification. The research also identifies various target groups vulnerable to online misogyny, including female politicians, journalists, celebrities, and gamers. The Manosphere, a collection of websites and social media groups, is examined for its endorsement of misogynistic beliefs and its role in normalizing and legitimizing sexual violence against women.
