Measuring and modeling the association between human psychological well-being and urban green spaces of Lahore, Pakistan

This study investigates the impact of urban green spaces on the psychological well-being of residents in Lahore, Pakistan. A questionnaire-based survey involving 1050 respondents was conducted to assess the interaction between residents and urban green spaces. Regression analysis and a structural model generated using Smart PLS were employed to analyze the data. The findings reveal a strongly positive and statistically significant relationship between urban green spaces and psychological well-being (beta=0.717, p < 0.000, R² = 0.514). The study emphasizes the importance of ensuring the accessibility and availability of urban green spaces and highlights the need to raise awareness among residents about the positive contributions of green spaces to their well-being.
