This study examines the complex dynamics of patent valorization within Moroccan higher education institutions, highlighting a significant contrast between the efficiency of patent generation and the inherent challenges in their commercial exploitation. Through a qualitative methodology, including in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, the research identifies primary obstacles such as insufficient funding for post-patent development, lack of marketing and entrepreneurship skills among academic staff, limited industry interactions, and a restrictive regulatory framework. Based on these findings, the study proposes strategic recommendations at both national and university levels. Nationally, it suggests establishing dedicated valorization funds, revising the regulatory framework to simplify and encourage the valorization process, and implementing incentive mechanisms to strengthen collaborations between universities and the industrial sector. At the university level, it emphasizes the importance of integrating specialized training programs for researchers and valorization managers, reinforcing existing valorization structures, and promoting the creation of incubators and accelerators to support innovative startups. The ultimate goal is to enhance the effectiveness of university patent valorization, fostering innovation and contributing to Morocco's economic development. This study examines the complex dynamics of patent valorization within Moroccan higher education institutions, highlighting a significant contrast between the efficiency of patent generation and the inherent challenges in their commercial exploitation.
