Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) as an Implementation of New Education Concepts in the Insights of Ki Hajar Dewantara

The article explores the alignment between the educational philosophy of Ki Hajar Dewantara and the implementation of Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) in modern Indonesian education. Ki Hajar Dewantara, a prominent figure from Yogyakarta, believed that education should guide individuals towards optimal well-being and happiness, emphasizing the importance of adapting teaching methods to individual student capabilities. The current government's new educational paradigm, which includes TaRL, reflects this philosophy by promoting flexibility in classroom teaching. The study uses a literature review method to assess the resonance between the new educational paradigm and its practical implementation. The findings reveal a harmonious alignment between Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophical teachings and the application of TaRL within the framework of modern education at the secondary school level. Integrating TaRL into the educational environment is seen as a significant step towards realizing Dewantara's vision of building an inclusive and progressive educational landscape.
