This systematic review examines the application of Space Syntax to enhance sociability in public urban spaces. The study aims to identify scientific gaps in the field, focusing on how spatial layouts can promote positive social behaviors. Using the PRISMA framework, a comprehensive literature search in the Scopus database yielded 1107 articles, from which 26 were selected for in-depth review. The review identified a wide range of research gaps, including evidence, knowledge, practical, methodological, empirical, theoretical, and target population gaps. The findings suggest that future research should explore the interplay between urban infrastructure, landscaping, and microclimate in these spaces, particularly from a cross-cultural perspective. The study underscores the importance of Space Syntax in promoting social interaction and offers a foundation for creating more socially engaging urban environments. Key areas of future research include empirical evidence, practical applications, methodological improvements, and the integration of social and cultural factors. This systematic review examines the application of Space Syntax to enhance sociability in public urban spaces.
