This narrative literature review explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving patient outcomes and enhancing healthcare delivery in cardiology. AI has the potential to assist healthcare professionals in diagnosing pathologies, guiding treatments, and monitoring patients, leading to better patient outcomes and a more efficient healthcare system. Clinical decision support systems in cardiology have significantly improved over the past decade, and the integration of AI into these systems can enhance patient outcomes by processing large amounts of data, identifying subtle associations, and providing timely, evidence-based recommendations. AI also enables personalized care through predictive models and tailored treatment plans. However, the use of AI in healthcare faces challenges such as cost, ethical considerations, and data quality. Despite these challenges, AI is expected to play a crucial role in the future of healthcare, contributing to personalized patient care, improved physician efficiency, and better outcomes. The review highlights the advancements in AI applications in cardiology, including diagnostic imaging, personalized treatments, decision support systems, and patient monitoring, and discusses the challenges and future directions for responsible integration of AI technology in cardiology. This narrative literature review explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in improving patient outcomes and enhancing healthcare delivery in cardiology.
