The article discusses the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools into the linguistic and teaching methods training of future foreign language teachers. The authors aim to develop a matrix of AI tools that can be used in this context. The study employs expert assessment to identify the potential and limitations of various AI tools, and to classify and summarize existing knowledge into a matrix. The matrix is organized into six types of feedback from generative AI: educational and social, informational and reference, methodological, analytical, evaluative, and conditionally creative. The main AI tools providing these types of feedback include Replika, LingvoBot, Multitrans_bot, Slavaribot, WorldContextBot, ChatGPT, Google Assistant, EGEEnglish.ru, ChatGPT 4.0, YandexGPT, GigaChat, Twee, Turnitin, Grammarly, PaperRater, Pigai, Criterion, AI Poem Generator, Midjourney, Suno, Sora, and Runway. The research highlights the potential of AI tools in enhancing the quality of language learning and teaching, but also notes the need for further development and integration into educational practices. The authors conclude by emphasizing the importance of using AI tools to create a comprehensive system for the linguistic and teaching methods training of future foreign language teachers. The article discusses the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) tools into the linguistic and teaching methods training of future foreign language teachers.
