This review article examines the global impacts of climate change, adaptation strategies, and sustainable mitigation measures. Climate change, characterized by long-term temperature and precipitation trends, poses significant threats to various sectors, including agriculture, biodiversity, health, economy, forestry, and tourism. The study highlights the vulnerability of the agricultural sector, where climate variability threatens food production and supplies, challenging global feeding patterns. Climate change also endangers species by altering temperature ranges, accelerating biodiversity loss, and increasing the likelihood of diseases such as vector-borne and waterborne illnesses. It also exacerbates antimicrobial resistance, a growing threat to human health. The global tourism industry is negatively affected as climate change impacts favorable tourism destinations. The review analyzes existing literature on climate change impacts, adaptation, and mitigation measures across various sectors. It emphasizes the need for government involvement in long-term development through strict resource and regulatory accountability to generate effective climate policies. The study also discusses the socio-economic consequences of climate change, including natural disasters, health impacts, and economic losses. It highlights the importance of sustainable mitigation strategies and adaptation practices, focusing on economic, social, and environmental aspects. The review also addresses the psychological impacts of climate change on vulnerable populations and the challenges faced by forest-dependent communities. The article discusses the impacts of climate change on the forestry sector, including forest fires, droughts, and pest outbreaks, as well as the effects on forest-dependent communities. It also examines the impacts of climate change on the tourism industry, including the decline in tourism due to climate-related changes and the need for adaptive measures. The review concludes that global commitment is essential to address the severe implications of climate change and ensure global sustainability. This review article examines the global impacts of climate change, adaptation strategies, and sustainable mitigation measures.
