Round shoulders are often accompanied by weak lungs, but can be improved through a simple exercise: standing on the toes in a perpendicular position several times daily. This exercise involves assuming an upright posture with the heels together and toes at a 45-degree angle, dropping the arms by the sides, and then slowly rising up on the balls of the feet to the maximum height, engaging the leg and body muscles. The exercise should be repeated on both feet, maintaining a straight line without swaying backward. A recent successful test of using ammonia as a power source in a marine engine was conducted on the tug E. W. Hartley. The Campbell ammonia engine system, which uses a generator to heat aqua ammonia, has been fitted into the tug and tested on the Schuylkill River. The system converts ordinary engines into ammonia engines by adding a generator that heats aqua ammonia to produce a gas, which then powers the engine. The gas is cooled and recycled through a spray coil, recharging the ammonia solution. This process eliminates waste and reduces fuel consumption by half, while also extending the boiler's lifespan and eliminating the need for lubricating oils. The electric belt swindle, a quackery device, involved wearing small disks of zinc and copper attached to a string around the neck, claiming to cure various ailments. This practice was widespread in some regions, but it is now recognized as a fraudulent scheme.Round shoulders are often accompanied by weak lungs, but can be improved through a simple exercise: standing on the toes in a perpendicular position several times daily.
