Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly used in journalism, particularly in advanced news organizations. While AI offers benefits, it presents ethical challenges for journalists. This study explores these challenges through in-depth interviews with 14 journalists at Al Mamlaka TV in Jordan. The main ethical challenges identified are data bias, privacy violations, and the absence of legislation and international regulations regarding AI in journalism. Journalists are concerned about data bias, as AI relies on data that may be manipulated or biased, leading to unfair outcomes. Privacy violations are also a concern, as AI can collect and misuse personal information. Additionally, the lack of clear regulations makes it difficult for journalists to use AI responsibly. The study concludes that journalists at Al Mamlaka TV adhere to the principles of Social Responsibility Theory, ensuring that AI is used ethically in newsrooms. The findings highlight the need for clear guidelines and regulations to ensure the ethical use of AI in journalism. Journalists must balance the use of AI with their ethical responsibilities to maintain objectivity and privacy. The study emphasizes the importance of ethical considerations in the adoption of AI in journalism.Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly used in journalism, particularly in advanced news organizations.
