This research explores the development of the *Benkangen* game, a digital learning media for Indonesian language education in elementary schools, based on Magelang local wisdom. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, consisting of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation from 25 teachers and 66 students from 25 elementary schools in Magelang district and Magelang city. The *Benkangen* game features puzzles related to Magelang culture and local wisdom, Indonesian language learning materials packaged as questions with points, and audio reflecting Central Java's local wisdom. The game is designed to be interactive, competitive, and engaging, aiming to enhance students' understanding and motivation in learning Indonesian. The development process involved creating the game using Microsoft PowerPoint, iSpring Free 9, and Web2Apk applications. The game was validated by media and material experts, receiving high scores indicating its feasibility for educational use. Implementation in classrooms showed positive impacts, including increased student engagement and understanding, with a 95% improvement in learning outcomes. The study concludes that the *Benkangen* game effectively supports Indonesian language learning and can be further developed and applied in more schools. This research explores the development of the *Benkangen* game, a digital learning media for Indonesian language education in elementary schools, based on Magelang local wisdom.
