Brainstorm is an open-source, user-friendly application designed for the visualization and processing of magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG) data. The primary objective of Brainstorm is to connect MEG/EEG neuroscience investigators with established and cutting-edge methods through a simple and intuitive graphical user interface (GUI). The software addresses the challenges of MEG/EEG source imaging, such as the multidimensional nature of the data, the variety of head tissue models, and the ambiguity of source modeling. Brainstorm supports a wide range of file formats, including MRI, MEG, and EEG data, and offers extensive preprocessing capabilities, visualization tools, and statistical analysis functions. It also includes features for forward and inverse modeling, registration of MEG/EEG with MRI, and time-frequency analysis. The software is available under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and is regularly updated to incorporate new features and improvements. Brainstorm is particularly useful for researchers who need to analyze MEG/EEG data in a clinical or research setting, offering a comprehensive and user-friendly solution for data processing and analysis.Brainstorm is an open-source, user-friendly application designed for the visualization and processing of magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG) data.
