This study proposes an Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) Professional Development (PD) training program to enhance teachers' AI competencies. The training, conducted over two days with 13 teachers, aimed to improve their AI knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Quantitative data were collected through pre- and post-tests, while qualitative data were gathered via interviews. Results showed a significant improvement in teachers' AI knowledge, with post-test scores significantly higher than pre-test scores. Teachers also demonstrated strong performance in AI skills, with most achieving very well (10 teachers) and three performing well. Qualitative feedback indicated that teachers found the training beneficial, with positive perceptions of AI education and increased confidence in teaching AI. The AIoT-PD training effectively enhanced teachers' AI competencies, enabling them to better teach AI in their classrooms. The study highlights the importance of professional development in preparing teachers for AI education, as their readiness is crucial for the success of AI education. The findings suggest that AIoT-PD training is an effective approach to improving teachers' AI competencies and promoting positive attitudes toward AI education. This study proposes an Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) Professional Development (PD) training program to enhance teachers' AI competencies.
