Enero – Marzo 2024 | Ramón Balbino Vargas Espinoza, Deisy Raquel Ayala Domínguez
This study investigates the development of stress and anxiety among nursing students at the National University of Pilar. A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted using probabilistic cluster sampling. A questionnaire was administered to 40 nursing students, and the results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings indicate that a majority of the students frequently reported experiencing stress and anxiety in various aspects of their academic life, including heavy workloads, lack of time, feeling overwhelmed, difficulty concentrating, inability to relax, decreased academic performance, physical symptoms, anxiety about the future, and emotional exhaustion. These results highlight the significant prevalence of stress and anxiety among nursing students and suggest the need for interventions to improve their well-being and academic performance. The study also emphasizes the importance of addressing these issues in the context of higher education, particularly in light of the additional challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. This study investigates the development of stress and anxiety among nursing students at the National University of Pilar.
