Stress and anxiety are common issues among nursing students, affecting their well-being and academic performance. This study aimed to investigate the development of stress and anxiety in nursing students at the National University of Pilar. A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study was conducted using probabilistic cluster sampling. A questionnaire was administered to 40 students, and results were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The main findings indicated that most students frequently reported feeling stress and anxiety in various aspects of their academic life, including the amount of work and academic responsibilities, lack of time to fulfill academic obligations, feeling overwhelmed by the workload, difficulty concentrating due to intrusive thoughts, inability to relax or disconnect from studies, decreased academic performance due to stress, appearance of physical symptoms due to stress, anxiety or worry about academic or professional future, inability to manage stress and study pressure, and physical or emotional exhaustion due to studies. The study highlights the importance of addressing stress and anxiety in nursing students, suggesting that interventions aimed at improving time management, planning, and coping skills could help manage stress and anxiety. The results are consistent with previous studies showing high levels of stress and anxiety among university students. The study underscores the need for effective interventions to improve the mental health and academic success of nursing students.Stress and anxiety are common issues among nursing students, affecting their well-being and academic performance.
