This project presents a fully automated solar grass cutter designed to address the issues of pollution and power failures associated with traditional grass cutters. Traditional grass cutters use internal combustion engines, which are costly, polluting, and require frequent maintenance. In contrast, the proposed solar grass cutter uses solar energy, which is environmentally friendly, cost-effective, and reduces reliance on electricity. The system is fully automated, using an Arduino UNO microcontroller to control the motors, ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection, and a solar panel to charge the battery. The machine can automatically cut grass to a set height, level the grass, and collect the cut grass using a fan-based system. The design incorporates a solar panel, DC motor, motor driver, Arduino UNO, cutting blade, and ultrasonic sensor. The system is designed to be user-friendly, requiring no manual intervention, and is suitable for use in gardens, playgrounds, and other areas where grass maintenance is needed. The project also includes a detailed circuit diagram and working explanation of the system. The results show that the solar grass cutter is more efficient and environmentally friendly compared to traditional models. The future scope of the project includes integrating AI for grass detection, using Android devices for remote control, and incorporating IoT for remote monitoring and control.
