This study explores the integration of large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, to improve attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) treatments. Using the Delphi method, a panel of child ADHD therapy experts evaluated ChatGPT's effectiveness in simulated therapy scenarios. The study aimed to rigorously assess ChatGPT's potential to enhance therapy practices, ensuring it contributes positively and ethically to patient care. Findings show ChatGPT's strengths in empathy, adaptability, and communication, highlighting its potential to significantly improve ADHD care. However, the study also notes the need for improvements in privacy, cultural sensitivity, and interpreting nonverbal cues for effective healthcare integration. The research advocates for merging technological innovation with a comprehensive understanding of patient needs and ethical considerations to pioneer a new era of AI-assisted therapy. The study outlines the theory, practical use, and ethical aspects of combining LLMs and robotic assistance to enhance ADHD nonpharmacological therapies. It discusses the potential of ChatGPT in cognitive therapies, its integration into robotic assistants, and the challenges in its application. The study also highlights the importance of privacy, cultural sensitivity, and the need for continuous improvement in AI tools to meet the unique needs of ADHD therapy and patient care. The research emphasizes the ongoing refinement of AI tools like ChatGPT to ensure they are effective in ADHD therapy and patient care. The study concludes that ChatGPT has significant potential in enhancing ADHD care, but further research is needed to address its limitations and ensure responsible integration into healthcare. This study explores the integration of large language models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, to improve attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) treatments.
