This study examines the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on reading and writing processes during the COVID-19 pandemic. A bibliometric analysis of 111 publications from the Scopus database between 2020 and 2022 reveals that Spain had the highest number of publications (11), with Social Sciences contributing the most to the research (61 documents). Journal articles accounted for 67% of the total scientific production. The study highlights the role of ICT in transforming educational practices, enabling online learning, and enhancing access to digital resources. However, it also underscores the challenges posed by the digital divide, where not all students have equal access to technology. The research emphasizes the importance of addressing these disparities to ensure equitable access to education. The findings suggest that ICT has significantly influenced literacy processes, promoting new opportunities for interactive and collaborative learning. Despite the challenges, ICT has played a crucial role in maintaining educational continuity during the pandemic. The study concludes that the integration of ICT in education requires a balanced approach to ensure its effective use in developing literacy skills in a digital world. This study examines the impact of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) on reading and writing processes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
