This study investigates the impact of IoT implementation on resource management in the construction industry. The research aims to identify the key factors that influence effective IoT integration and to explore how IoT affects resource management. Structural equation modelling (SEM) is used to analyze the relationships between variables and their underlying constructs. The study finds a strong positive correlation between IoT adoption and effective resource management in construction. IoT technology enables real-time data collection and analysis, optimized resource allocation, predictive maintenance, reduced waste, improved safety, enhanced communication, and increased transparency and accountability. However, IoT adoption is influenced by factors such as data analytics, data security and privacy, integration and interoperability, scalability, and flexibility. The study contributes to addressing gaps in the literature on IoT integration in the construction sector. It highlights the importance of IoT in improving the efficiency of human, mechanical, and material resources in construction projects. The research also emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts to increase IoT adoption, enhance data analytics, improve integration and interoperability, establish standards, and prioritize security and privacy in IoT implementation for construction resource management. The findings suggest that IoT implementation has a significant impact on resource management in the construction industry, and that the adoption of IoT technology is essential for optimizing resource utilization and improving project outcomes. The study provides valuable insights for practitioners and policymakers in the construction sector. This study investigates the impact of IoT implementation on resource management in the construction industry.
