This study investigates the relationship between digital innovations and sustainable operations in logistics, focusing on environmental, social, and economic perspectives. Based on the diffusion of innovation theory, a theoretical framework was developed to examine how technology adoption and integration influence sustainable operations. Data were collected from 540 small logistics firms in China, and covariance-based structural equation modeling was used to test the hypotheses. The results indicate that technology adoption positively affects all three sustainability perspectives, with coefficients of 0.293 for environmental, 0.461 for social, and 0.461 for economic. Technology integration also positively affects these perspectives, with coefficients of 0.512 for environmental, 0.347 for social, and 0.415 for economic. The findings suggest that digital technology implementation can improve logistics operations in terms of sustainability, leading to business improvements. The study highlights the importance of digital innovation in achieving sustainable operations, emphasizing the need for strategic technology adoption and integration to enhance environmental, social, and economic sustainability. The research also identifies limitations, including the potential lack of generalizability across industries and the need for further studies on the impact of technology on sustainability. Overall, the study underscores the critical role of digital innovation in promoting sustainable logistics practices. This study investigates the relationship between digital innovations and sustainable operations in logistics, focusing on environmental, social, and economic perspectives.
