The article explores the development of a post-smart tourism village in Kenderan, Bali, focusing on leveraging local values and resources to create sustainable and distinctive tourism experiences. The study emphasizes the importance of a sense-of-place approach, digital competence, and sustainability practices in developing authentic and valuable tourist villages. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative expert judgment and quantitative structural equation modeling to analyze the impact of creative festivals, digital competence, and circular economy on post-smart tourism. The findings suggest that these elements are crucial for building a competitive and sustainable tourism village, with digital competence and sustainability practices significantly mediating the relationship between locality and post-smart tourism. The study concludes that tourist villages should explore and promote their unique local values and resources, integrating them into their core components and promoting them globally through technology adoption and sustainable practices.
