LncRNADisease is a publicly accessible database that provides information on long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) and disease associations. It contains approximately 480 experimentally supported lncRNA-disease associations, covering 166 diseases, and 478 entries of lncRNA interacting partners at various molecular levels. The database also includes genomic information, sequences, references, and species for each lncRNA-disease association. It normalizes disease names and lncRNA dysfunction types and provides detailed descriptions for each entry. Additionally, a bioinformatic method was developed to predict novel lncRNA-disease associations, which were integrated into the database. The database was built by manually curating lncRNA-disease relations from the literature and includes detailed annotation information for each entry. It also curates and annotates experimentally supported lncRNA interacting partners. The database is available at http://cmbi.bjmu.edu.cn/lncrnadisease and is organized using SQLite. The website is developed based on Django, a Python web framework. The database allows users to query lncRNA-disease associations by lncRNA or disease names, and provides a fuzzy search function. Users can also download all data in the database, including lncRNA-disease associations, predicted lncRNA-disease associations, and lncRNA interactions. A detailed tutorial is available for database usage. The database is expected to be updated every two months with new experimentally supported lncRNA-disease association data. Future extensions include the development of new tools for analyzing lncRNA-disease association data, such as expression profile- and interacting partner-based methods for predicting novel lncRNA-disease associations. LncRNADisease is a valuable resource for studying the roles of lncRNAs in diseases. It provides a comprehensive database of lncRNA-disease associations, experimentally supported lncRNA interaction data, and predicted lncRNA-disease association data. The database is expected to help in the study of lncRNAs and diseases, and will provide more help in this area as it integrates more data and tools in the future.LncRNADisease is a publicly accessible database that provides information on long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) and disease associations.
