Human resources (HR) play a crucial role in every activity within an institution, including educational institutions. Effective HR management ensures that human resources can fulfill their duties and contribute to the institution's goals. This study aims to understand and analyze the concepts and practices of HRM in the context of education. Using a library research method, the study collects and analyzes relevant literature to identify various approaches and strategies in HRM within educational institutions. Data sources include primary and secondary sources, with the research focusing on analyzing existing literature to describe and interpret HRM concepts in education.
The study highlights the importance of HRM in the education process, emphasizing the need for optimal implementation of HRM functions to achieve individual, organizational, and institutional goals. Effective HRM procedures are expected to address challenges related to competitiveness in the Indonesian nation. HRM in education involves various functions, including planning, recruitment, selection, orientation, performance management, compensation, career development, and termination. These functions are essential for ensuring the quality and effectiveness of education.
