MetaboAnalyst 5.0 is a web-based platform designed to bridge the gap between raw data and functional insights in global metabolomics, particularly for high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) data. The platform introduces three key modules: (i) an LC–MS Spectra Processing module for automated parameter optimization and resumable analysis, (ii) a Functional Analysis module for intuitive selection and evaluation of peak groups' enrichment in metabolic pathways and metabolite sets, and (iii) a Functional Meta-Analysis module for integrating multiple global metabolomics datasets. Other new features include weighted joint-pathway analysis, data-driven network analysis, batch effect correction, and improved compound name matching. The web interface, graphics, and underlying codebase have been optimized for better performance and user experience.
