This research aims to provide an overview of how education policy is monitored and evaluated. The study employs a library research method, which involves collecting library data, reading, taking notes, and processing research materials. Monitoring education policy refers to observing situations and conditions, including actions and activities related to education policy, such as educational regulations, curriculum, learning processes, and all government actions related to education. This helps in understanding what, why, and how the current state of education is. The research identifies eight commonly used monitoring models: the goal-oriented assessment model, the goalless assessment model, the formative and summative assessment model, the facial assessment model, and the responsive assessment model. Additionally, it covers the CIPP assessment model, the CSE-UCLA Evaluation Model, and the Discrepant Evaluation Model. The study emphasizes the importance of monitoring and evaluation in education policy, highlighting that these activities are crucial for improving educational quality and ensuring that policies are implemented effectively. The research also discusses the principles and characteristics of monitoring and evaluation, noting that they should be continuous, comprehensive, objective, and aligned with policy goals. The involvement of various stakeholders, both formal and informal, is also discussed, including administrators, policymakers, media, political parties, and interest groups. The conclusion of the study underscores the importance of monitoring and evaluating education policy to gain a clear understanding of the current state of education. The research suggests further in-depth and comprehensive studies on monitoring and evaluating education policy to address the limitations and challenges in the current research. This research aims to provide an overview of how education policy is monitored and evaluated.
