Correction: On projection methods, convergence and robust formulations in topology optimization

This article is a correction to a previously published paper on topology optimization, specifically addressing errors in the description of the minimal length scale in the intermediate design. The original paper, published in Struct Multidisc Optim (2011) 43:767–784, contained typographical errors that needed to be corrected. The labels of the longitudinal axis in Figures 12, 20, and 21 were incorrectly stated and have been corrected to $b/R$, $b_j/R$, and $b_i/R$ respectively. Additionally, on page 780, all instances of the ratio $b/2R$ should be $b/R$. Furthermore, the value $b = 0.092L$ was incorrectly stated and should be corrected to $b = 0.046L$. These corrections are necessary to ensure the accuracy of the paper's findings and to maintain the integrity of the research. The authors have acknowledged the errors and provided the corrected versions of the figures and text. The original article can be found online at the provided DOI link. The authors are affiliated with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Solid Mechanics, Technical University of Denmark. The correction highlights the importance of careful review and verification in scientific publications to prevent the dissemination of incorrect information. The authors have taken responsibility for the errors and have made the necessary adjustments to rectify them. This correction serves to uphold the standards of scientific communication and ensure that the research is accurately represented. This article is a correction to a previously published paper on topology optimization, specifically addressing errors in the description of the minimal length scale in the intermediate design.
