2020 | Ali Sadikin*, Afreni Hamidah
The article "Pembelajaran Daring di Tengah Wabah Covid-19" by Ali Sadikin and Afreni Hamidah from the Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi, FKIP Universitas Jambi, explores the implementation of online learning in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The study aims to understand how online learning is being conducted in the Biology Education Program at the university to mitigate the spread of the virus. The research is qualitative and involves interviews with students using Zoom Cloud Meeting, with data analyzed using Miles & Huberman's interactive analysis technique. Key findings include: 1. **Facilities**: Students have the necessary facilities, such as smartphones and laptops, to participate in online learning. 2. **Flexibility**: Online learning offers flexibility, encouraging self-regulated learning and increased student motivation. 3. **Challenges**: Challenges include weak internet signals, high data costs, and difficulties in understanding materials, especially for students in remote areas. The study concludes that while online learning has its advantages, it also faces significant challenges, particularly in terms of technical issues and financial constraints. Despite these challenges, online learning remains a crucial tool for maintaining education during the pandemic.
