This study explores the perceptions and attitudes of nurse practitioners toward the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. Using a qualitative, descriptive, and phenomenological approach, the research collected data through in-depth interviews with 37 nurse practitioners selected via purposive sampling. The thematic analysis revealed nine main themes: perceptions of AI implementation, attitudes toward AI adoption, patient-centered care and AI, quality of healthcare delivery and AI, ethical and regulatory aspects of AI, education and training needs, collaboration and interdisciplinary relationships, obstacles in integrating AI, and AI and healthcare policy. Nurse practitioners generally viewed AI as a valuable tool for enhancing patient care, but they also expressed concerns about dehumanization, data security, job displacement, and bias. The study emphasizes the need for comprehensive education and training in AI, clear ethical guidelines, and collaboration between healthcare professionals and AI specialists to ensure responsible integration of AI in healthcare practice. This study explores the perceptions and attitudes of nurse practitioners toward the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare.
