PowerMarker is an integrated analysis environment (IAE) designed for genetic marker analysis, offering a user-friendly graphical interface that combines data management, statistical analysis, and visualization. It supports over 50 different statistical analyses and handles various marker data types, including microsatellite, SNP, and RFLP data. Key features include efficient data serialization, support for multiple input formats, and the ability to perform common genetic tests such as Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium and linkage disequilibrium (LD) tests. PowerMarker also provides tools for population differentiation, phylogenetic analysis, and association testing. Special features include 2D and triangle plots for visualizing LD results, Excel integration, and a multithreading batch system for efficient processing of multiple datasets.
