This research focuses on the preservation and transmission of Pipa and Guzheng duets in the Pu Dong style, a traditional Chinese musical genre. The study employs qualitative methods such as interviews, observations, and questionnaires, with key informants Fu Huqiang and Sha Lijing, both skilled in the Pu Dong style. The findings highlight the significant role these duets play in preserving cultural heritage by maintaining ancient customs and conveying cultural information. The Pu Dong-style Pipa and Guzheng duets demonstrate a commitment to both preserving traditional music and expanding the genre through creativity. These duets have adapted to contemporary circumstances while retaining their classical foundations, showcasing the growing tapestry of Chinese cultural expressions. The integration of traditional Chinese and Western musical elements in works like "Dao Chui Lian" underscores the tenacity of cultural preservation and the critical function of creative transmission in keeping traditions active and relevant.
