This study aims to develop a teaching module for the Tolaki Mekongga language based on the Merdeka Curriculum to preserve the language at the elementary school level in North Kolaka District, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research used the ASSURE model and involved teachers and students from three schools. Expert validation and user trials showed the module was valid (83%) and practical (85%). The module incorporates local wisdom and cultural elements, aligning with the Merdeka Curriculum's goals of promoting local culture and national unity. The study highlights the importance of integrating local language and culture into education to address language decline and cultural erosion. The module is designed to be used in elementary schools, with content covering local language, literature, arts, handicrafts, food, customs, tourism, and history. The research concludes that the module is suitable for use and contributes to preserving the Tolaki Mekongga language and culture.
