This study reviews the current state of Huadengxi Chinese folk songs in Yunnan Province, a region known for its rich cultural heritage. Huadengxi, often referred to as the "gorgeous camellia," is a comprehensive folk art form that combines songs, dances, and dramatic performances. The research aims to provide an in-depth analysis of Huadengxi's characteristics, historical evolution, and its integration into educational institutions. Five key informants with extensive knowledge of Huadengxi were interviewed, and data was collected through observation forms, interview forms, questionnaires, and various media formats. The study highlights recent innovations and the historical development of Huadengxi, emphasizing its regional diversity and cultural significance. It also explores the challenges and successes of preserving and advancing this traditional art form in the face of modernization. The integration of Huadengxi into educational institutions is discussed, showing positive perceptions among students and teachers.
