The opera, originating from Xiabang Township in Ganxian County, Jiangxi Province, is deeply rooted in the local tea farming traditions and has been recognized as a national intangible cultural treasure since 2006. The study highlights the importance of creativity in preserving the opera's cultural legacy, emphasizing the integration of review and preservation in artistic innovation. Government support has played a pivotal role in providing policy input and services for preservation, fostering an environment conducive to creative expression. Educational institutions and community engagement initiatives have furthered the opera's preservation efforts, ensuring its transmission to future generations. The article also discusses the dynamic interplay between tradition and innovation in the opera's music, with post-Cultural Revolution developments showcasing a heightened emphasis on musical experimentation while retaining the essence of the traditional style.
