The article discusses the integrative literature review (ILR) as a research method for incorporating evidence into healthcare and nursing. The ILR is highlighted as a valuable tool for synthesizing and critically evaluating existing research, providing a current state of knowledge, implementing effective interventions, reducing costs, and identifying gaps for future research. The study aims to present the general concepts and steps for conducting an ILR, emphasizing its applicability in health and nursing research. The ILR involves six main stages: identifying the research topic and hypothesis, establishing inclusion and exclusion criteria, defining information to be extracted from selected studies, evaluating the included studies, interpreting the results, and presenting the review. The article also addresses the challenges faced by nurses in integrating research findings into clinical practice and highlights the importance of the ILR in overcoming these barriers. The ILR is seen as a crucial tool for improving healthcare quality and optimizing resource utilization. The article discusses the integrative literature review (ILR) as a research method for incorporating evidence into healthcare and nursing.
