This study explores teachers' perspectives on artificial intelligence (AI) in education, focusing on their views, preferences, and concerns. A survey of 74 educators using the Opinion Scale on Artificial Intelligence in Education revealed a predominantly positive outlook on AI in education, though significant concerns about ethical and privacy issues were also noted. Teachers generally viewed AI as a valuable tool for enhancing personalized learning, improving productivity, and supporting educational goals. However, they expressed concerns about the potential for reduced emotional connection, security threats, and the risk of passivity in learning. The study also found that teachers' views on AI did not vary significantly based on their years of experience or field of study. AI was perceived as a beneficial system that supports and enhances the educational process, with most teachers viewing it as a valuable tool for knowledge management. Teachers demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of AI's potential to revolutionize education, while also acknowledging associated concerns. The findings highlight the need for a balanced approach to AI integration in education, one that maximizes benefits while addressing ethical and privacy concerns. The study underscores the importance of involving teachers in the development and implementation of AI technologies, providing them with the necessary training and support to use AI effectively in the classroom. Overall, the research contributes to the ongoing discourse on AI's role in education, emphasizing the need for a holistic approach that considers the perspectives of all stakeholders. This study explores teachers' perspectives on artificial intelligence (AI) in education, focusing on their views, preferences, and concerns.
