The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in schools is crucial for modern education, as it supports the shift from traditional teaching methods to technology-based learning. This study examines teachers' perceptions of the effectiveness of ICT integration in Malaysian public secondary schools. A survey of 101 teachers was conducted, and data were analyzed using SPSS. The results indicate that ICT integration is highly effective for both teachers and students. Teachers' preparedness with ICT tools and professional development programs significantly contribute to successful technology-based teaching and learning. However, challenges remain, including insufficient ICT resources, inadequate training, and poor computer lab conditions. The study emphasizes the need for strategic planning and management in ICT integration to ensure its effectiveness. Teachers must be given time to adapt and learn ICT to use it effectively in teaching. The study also suggests that further research should consider different school types, including public, Chinese, and Indian schools, to compare ICT integration effectiveness. Additionally, comparisons between public and private schools could provide valuable insights. The study concludes that effective ICT integration requires proper implementation, support, and continuous improvement. It is essential to enhance teachers' beliefs and skills in using ICT to improve education quality and meet 21st-century demands. The integration of ICT in education is vital for developing a competent workforce and improving the global ranking of national education systems. The integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in schools is crucial for modern education, as it supports the shift from traditional teaching methods to technology-based learning.
