This article explores the concept of human rights from the perspective of the Qur'an. It argues that Islam recognizes human rights as inherent to all humans, as evidenced by Qur'anic verses that emphasize equality, justice, and the right to life. The research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive-analytical methods, focusing on Maudhu'i's interpretation of relevant Qur'anic verses. The study highlights that human rights in Islam are universal, applying to all people regardless of gender, race, religion, or social status. The Qur'an is seen as a key source that upholds human values and provides a framework for protecting human rights. The article discusses several Qur'anic verses that address human rights, including the right to justice, the right to life, and the right to education. It also examines the historical context of human rights, noting that Islamic teachings have long emphasized the protection of human rights. The research concludes that Islam does not oppose human rights but rather integrates them into its teachings, emphasizing the importance of justice, equality, and the protection of human dignity. The study also highlights the role of the Qur'an in guiding human behavior and ensuring that human rights are upheld in society.
