The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) has developed the Influenza Virus Resource to provide comprehensive access to influenza virus sequences and analysis tools. This resource includes a sequence database, sequence analysis tools, and a genome annotation tool. The sequence database contains nucleotide and protein sequences of all influenza viruses, updated daily, and is curated for accuracy and completeness. Users can query the database to retrieve sequences, build multiple alignments, and construct phylogenetic trees. The genome annotation tool predicts protein sequences and facilitates sequence submission to GenBank. The resource is freely accessible and has been integrated into several other influenza virus sequence databases, enhancing data sharing and research capabilities in the influenza community. The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) has developed the Influenza Virus Resource to provide comprehensive access to influenza virus sequences and analysis tools.
