This study investigates the impact of traditional games on the physical fitness of elementary school students. The research employs a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach, using modified traditional games such as sodor carts, fish nets, and balloon racing. The study involved 18 students aged 8-11 years from an elementary school in Indonesia. The initial physical fitness levels of the students were assessed through a pretest, and then they participated in 14 sessions of modified traditional games. A final posttest was conducted to evaluate the students' physical fitness levels after the treatment. The results showed a significant improvement in the students' physical fitness, with a significance value of 0.000. The study concludes that traditional games effectively enhance physical fitness in elementary school students, contributing to their overall health and well-being. The findings support the use of traditional games as a valuable tool in physical education, fostering active participation and improving physical fitness. This study investigates the impact of traditional games on the physical fitness of elementary school students.
