UALCAN is an integrated cancer data analysis platform that provides a web portal for exploring, analyzing, and visualizing genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data. Since its release in 2017, UALCAN has been widely used by cancer researchers from over 100 countries. The platform integrates data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and the Clinical Proteomic Tumor Analysis Consortium (CPTAC), enabling users to analyze protein-coding gene expression, microRNAs (miRNAs), long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), promoter DNA methylation, and patient survival data. Recent updates to UALCAN include the addition of miRNA and lncRNA expression data, DNA methylation analysis, and ChIP-seq data, along with new visualization features such as gene correlation analysis, pan-cancer analysis, and promoter methylation analysis. These enhancements allow researchers to better understand gene and protein expression patterns, identify potential regulators, and generate hypotheses for further testing.
