This umbrella review examines the stress levels, sources of stress, and coping mechanisms among student nurses during their education and training. The review searches five databases (PsycINFO, PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, and Web of Science) for articles published from 2010 onwards, resulting in 12 reviews and 189 studies. Key findings indicate that student nurses experience moderate to high levels of stress, primarily due to academic demands, patient care responsibilities, and interactions with nursing staff and faculty. Common coping strategies include problem-solving behaviors, transference, and maintaining an optimistic outlook. The review highlights the need for nurse educators to develop effective strategies to reduce stress and enhance coping skills among student nurses, promoting their well-being and academic performance. The findings also suggest the importance of culturally sensitive interventions and flexible learning technologies to address the global challenges faced by nursing students. This umbrella review examines the stress levels, sources of stress, and coping mechanisms among student nurses during their education and training.
