This study investigates the trends and characteristics of research on purposeful leadership in entrepreneurial contexts using bibliometric analysis. The research analyzed 529 publications from 2014 to 2023, focusing on country, organization, journal, author, document, and keyword co-occurrence patterns. The USA is the leading country in purposeful leadership research, with Maharishi International University as the top institution. The journal "Information Systems Frontiers" has the highest citation count, while the most cited document is from 2019. The keyword "leadership" is the most frequently used, while "purposeful leadership" is still emerging, indicating potential for further research. The analysis reveals that purposeful leadership is closely linked to sustainable development goals and emphasizes ethical decision-making, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. The study highlights the importance of integrating purposeful leadership into organizational practices to address global challenges like climate change and social injustice. It also underscores the need for more comprehensive research to fully understand the impact and applications of purposeful leadership in various contexts. The findings suggest that purposeful leadership can enhance organizational performance and sustainability by aligning leadership with broader societal values and ethical considerations. The study concludes that purposeful leadership is a critical concept for future research, particularly in the context of entrepreneurial leadership and sustainable development. This study investigates the trends and characteristics of research on purposeful leadership in entrepreneurial contexts using bibliometric analysis.
